When to start looking for your
gown....
We reccommend that brides start looking for their dress
about a year before their wedding. Once you have made your final decision and ordered your dream dress it will be approx. 4 months before your dress arrives and another 4 weeks for your
alterations to be completed and the dress ready for collection. Once you have chosen your
gown you can then visulise other aspects of your day.
Who should your bring to appointments....
It is really tempting to bring along a large group of
friends/family to help choose your gown, whilst we are welcoming to everyone,
we suggest it’s avoided as it can be very confusing to get numerous opinions.
Enlist the help of a friend or relative , who’s opinion you trust and that will
encourage and support you.
We
suggest up to two people as this works
really well. If you want to shop
alone, we will help guide you through our designs. Once you have chosen your gown and need to come back for alterations, bring with you the person that will be helping you change into your gown as they will have an understanding of how to help you dress on your big day.
What styles should I try on....
During your appointment try on just the dresses you like.
We suggest
trying up to 10 styles you like and
letting us suggest any that you may have missed,to compliment your
figure, personality and style of wedding.
You may
be surprised because wedding dresses can look very different on their
hangers
and often they do not come to life until they are tried on.
We are here to assist and encourage, the
final decision should be yours alone.
Brides that visit us know that
we have a very successful method of choosing the right dress for you.
It really does not have to daunting and there's no need for you to have
to try on every dress in the shop !
How do I know when I’ve found “the dress”
.....
Finding
‘the dress’ is very much a personal experience, sometimes it’s the
first
dress and you fall instantly in love , sometimes it really is the one that you least expect.
We listen carefully to what you say about every aspect of the dresses
you try on and this leads us to the perfect dress for you. Once you’ve
found ‘the
dress’ you’ll know because it will be
the dress that makes you feel special, often very emotional and
you won’t want to take it off.
‘The dress’ is the one dress that you will feel really excited by and
it's the difference between like and LOVE . If you keep comparing
other styles to
one in particular dress then there's a very good chances that it's the
dress for you and nothing else compares. Sometimes, finding “the dress”
can take time and
patience, with several visits to the shop before making your commitment.
What happens once I’ve decided on my
dress...
Once you have made your final decision, we will
measure you and compare your measurements to the designers size chart. We will show you the measurements and decide
which size to order. We then prepare
the order for you to agree and sign.
Payment is taken.
How will I know when my dress has
arrived...
We will contact you and confirm that your dress has
been delivered. We will ask you to come
and check and try your dress on. You
are then able to take your dress away.
When will my dress be altered...
We suggest having your dress altered six weeks before
the wedding. You normally need two
alteration appointments.
